Second-grader Max Unruh heads to school Friday morning, Sept. 4 for what will be a fun day at Freeman Public. It’s Homecoming Friday, which means a half-day of school, float-building for the older students and a 1 p.m. parade through downtown. Football is on tap for tonight as the top-ranked Canistota/Freeman Pride host Oldham/Ramonda-Rutland. A long weekend follows; with Labor Day on Monday, students like Max will get a three-day respite.
