PHOTO OF THE DAY: WEDNESDAY WHITEOUT
Well, those wishing for a white Christmas might want to consider the old adage, “Careful what you wish for.” A blizzard descended on the region Wednesday morning, making for whiteout conditions in both town and country. Strong winds continue to whip the fine snow around, and while the precipitation is expected to clear out this afternoon, the winds will continue.
Because traveling safely is impossible, delivery of this week’s Courier will be delayed. While it is at the printing plant in Armour on schedule, returning it to Freeman today cannot happen. Papers will be picked up from Armour and distributed through the postal service tomorrow morning but, with the Christmas holiday, it could first be Saturday or early next week before some get theirs delivered.
A reminder that the digital version of the newspaper is available to all subscribers at freemancouriereedition.com. Because of the delivery issues this week, the The Courier is making this week’s e-Edition free for everybody. Merry Christmas!
