PHOTO OF THE DAY: THAT SPRING SENSATION

Seven-year-old McKoen Dockendorf and her 4-year-old sister, Leighton, enjoy a beautiful Monday morning on the swing at Lions Park in Freeman. Short sleeves, shorts and general outdoor activity have been commonplace across the region in recent days as above-average temperatures have energized men, women and children of all ages. Highs reached into the 80s on both Saturday and Sunday and are expected to again today before a cool down — and chance of rain — Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. McKoen and Leighton are the daughters of Lee and Ashton Dockendorf of rural Bridgewater.
