PHOTO OF THE DAY: MONDAY MORNING ADDRESS

Maurice Bueber, a 70-year-old resident from Tripp, gives the address at the 2021 Menno Memorial Day program on a picture-perfect Monday morning, May 31 at the Menno Cemetery. The traditional and patriotic observance was organized and sponsored by the Rames-Bender Post 152 of the American Legion and included music from Dale Weiss and Tom Ulmer and the Menno High School band, the reading of the roll call and salute by the American Legion firing squad.

Freeman will observe Memorial Day Monday night in a service at the Freema Area Veteran’s Memorial that will begin at 7 p.m.
