LETTER:Â Maske catch shows value of Prairie Arboretum
Dear editor,
Thank you for the wonderful picture of Trey Maske with the channel catfish in last week’s Courier (5-Minute Interview; page 6A). I have clipped it so that I have a reminder of why Lyle thought it was so important that the Arboretum exists and that it have ponds for both nature and people to enjoy.
I’m astounded that a fish that large exists in that pond, and I also am so happy that Trey had the faith to know that his parents loved him enough for them to go looking for him when he didn’t come home right away. I love the joy in Trey’s face, and I’m appreciative of the fact that this joy could be spread around through the pictures and the accompanying interview.
