Site prep is underway in the far corner of the green space immediately south of the Freeman Community Center as Knodel Contractors was digging for footings Tuesday morning, June 22. The work is being done in preparation for affordable housing that is coming to the property. The project is being contracted by Koerner Construction, which is working with Sand Pike, LLC on the DakotaPlex housing development. Sand Pike, LLC was launched by Freeman native Gayle Preheim and his wife, Jana, to help meed the housing need in Freeman.
