Kyle Braun is offered a helping hand from Allan Scherschlight after tumbling across home plate and scoring a run for the Freeman Blacksox in District 6B amateur baseball action Thursday night, July 29 in Tabor. The No. 5 Blacksox lost to No. 2 Wynot 8-4 in the contest and have one last chance to qualify for the state tournament in Mitchell. That will come Saturday at 5 p.m.; Freeman will play Menno, which also lost on Thursday night, falling to Tabor 13-8.
