PHOTO OF THE DAY: ANOTHER EMPTY LOT

Another vacated house in Freeman has been removed, this time on the 700 block of Dewald Street immediately south of the home owned by Evan and Becky Waltner. The Waltners purchased the property several years ago and had Knodel Contractors take the structure down late last week. A number of abandoned properties have been removed in recent years, with the city of Freeman dismissing rubble site fees in exchange for the effort to help clean up the town.
