FREEMAN CITY COUNCIL APPROVES BOND ISSUE ON 6-0 VOTE
As expected, meeting in special session Thursday evening, March 31, the Freeman City Council approved a bond issue in the amount of $2.8 million that will help pay for the upcoming Main Street project, which includes one block of Railway to the southwest, as well as adjacent blocks to the west and east on both Third and Fourth streets.
The bond resolution passed the council 6-0.
Freeman City Council agrees to fund full project.
The city council meets again on Wednesday, April 6 at 6:30 p.m., and may then award the bid to Reede Construction so to meet the 30-day requirement from the March 16 bid opening; that’s something the $600,000 DOT grant awarded the city stipulates.
This is a developing story.
