TYNDALL TOPS 16U STICKS 3-1
Tyndall scored three runs on three walks in the first inning and that was enough to get the job done against the Freeman/Marion Sticks in the second round of the Region 4 VFW 16U Tournament in Freeman Wednesday afternoon. The Sticks got one back in both the fourth and the seventh innings and had the bases loaded in the top of the seventh, but came up short, falling 3-2.
Freeman/Marion will play again Wednesday night against Scotland/Menno — which beat Salem 8-5 in Wednesday’s second game — for a spot in the state tournament and a chance at the region championship against Tyndall on Thursday.
