ANDERSEN, SCHARBERG CROWNED MONDAY NIGHT

Freeman High School seniors Evan Scharberg and Ava Andersen were named Freeman High School Homecoming King and Queen at coronation Monday night, Sept. 11 following a vote of the 7-12 student body. They are pictured with the rest of the court chosen by the senior class: From left – Kaytlin Pankratz, Riley Knittel, Shad Tschetter and Blake Stahl.

Scharberg and Andersen were crowned by last year’s king and queen, Zac Sayler and Kate Miller.

Coronation also included songs by the school’s pep band and a recognition of all students involved in extra-curricular activities. Emcees for the night were juniors Claire Hofer and Sawyer Wipf. The traditional burning of the “F” was also part of the festivities.
