PHOTO OF THE DAY: FILLED UP

Moisture that had been missing throughout the month of September came all at once in the early-morning hours of Thursday, Sept. 21 as Freeman received 3 1/2 inches of rain. The welcomed moisture came with thunder and lighting, too, and showers continued after daylight. There’s a 50% chance or better of rain Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with the best chance coming on Saturday.

While other areas didn’t see the totals that Freeman saw early Thursday morning, the system was widespread and touched rural areas and other communities, as well.
