CANISTOTA TOO TOUGH FOR FHS BOYS
Tage Ortman and the Canistota Hawks took down the Freeman High School boys in Cornbelt Conference action in Canistota Thursday night, Dec. 14. Ortman, a senior, scored 27 points to lead the Hawks past the Flyers 64-39. Freeman trailed by single digits at halftime but Canistota opened up the game in the third and fourth periods to improve to 2-0.
Freeman dropped to 1-2.
Senior Rocky Ammann led the Flyers with 13 points while sophomore Luke Peters had eight rebounds.
