PHOTO OF THE DAY: HIGHWAY 81 LOOKING NORTH

This is what Highway 81 looked like to the north of Freeman Saturday morning as windy conditions made travel conditions extremely poor. In addition to limited visibility, drifting on the shoulders of the road had started, and in town, some of the blowing snow had made streets difficult to navigate. Winds are only expected to intensify throughout the day and wind chills are expected to be as low as 50-below zero overnight and into Sunday, with negative highs extending into Monday.
