SCHOOLS CLOSED MONDAY AS WINTER WEATHER RETURNS

Freeman Academy, Freeman Public, Marion and Menno are among the schools closed on Monday because of winter weather. Hutchinson County is in a winter storm warning while Turner County is in a winter weather advisory due to icy road and blowing snow. Rain and snow is expected all day with a chance of snow on Tuesday.

The early-spring winter weather has also impacted the sports calendar. Golf practices were supposed to start on Monday, the Freeman/Marion/Freeman Academy softball team was scheduled to open its season at Tri-Valley and Menno has canceled its home softball game against Freeman/Marion/Freeman Academy scheduled for Tuesday.
