Menno’s Bryce Sattler keeps a tag on Freeman’s Luke Peters after Peters successfully swipes second base in Wednesday’s night’s high school baseball game in Menno between the Scotland/Menno Trappers and Freeman/Canistota/Marion Sticks. It was a long overdue Region 1 battle that came after two weather-related postponements last month and survived another threat of rain, with the Sticks winning a quick and tidy game 2-1.

The win moved Freeman/Canistota to 4-2 on the season while Scotland/Menno dropped to 4-6. The two teams will play again Friday evening, May 10 in Freeman.
