Service members of the Rames-Bender Post 152 of the American Legion solemnly sit as the Menno community’s Memorial Day observance at the city cemetery Monday morning, May 27. The traditional program featured an address by Anna Arnold, a who lives in Menno with her family and is the commander of the VFW Post 792 in Yankton and the state quartermaster and adjutant for South Dakota VFW. The observance also included music by Dale Weiss and Tom Ulmer and the Menno High School Band. Watch for a report and photos in this week’s Courier.
