PHOTO OF THE DAY: TAKING THE SEA BY STAGE

Moana, an adventurous girl played by Abigail Bradley, and Maui, an eccentric islander played by Jax Kaufman, take to the Pacific in an effort to retrieve the heart of the goddess Te Fiti that, over 1,000 years before, had been lost to the sea. It was part of the Freeman Area Children’s Choir’s production of “Moana Jr.,” a Disney adventure story presented in Pioneer Hall Sunday evening, June 23 following a 10-day musical theater camp. Thirty-two youngsters took part in the camp, which was led by FACC directors Amber Bradley and Iwona Lewter.
