Ryan Wieman calls the live auction early Saturday afternoon that highlighted the 2024 South Dakota Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) Relief Sale — a fundraising effort that got its start in 1987. This year’s sale once again took place in the Pioneer Hall basement, where guests packed the dining hall starting later Saturday morning and through the early part of the afternoon. The event included a diverse food court, silent auction and chance to people of all ages to socialize. Preliminary reports indicate that this year’s sale generated $90,000 for worldwide relief to be distributed through MCC.
