PHOTO OF THE DAY: BEFORE THE BANDS

Downtown Menno — Fifth Street — was quiet early Friday morning, but it will be music to the ears of the people come 10 a.m. when Menno Wolves Marching Band leads a processional of 20 others through the Band Day parade. Both middle school and high school bands, from as near as Parker and Avon to as far as Gregory and Pierre, will take part in this annual event. Following the parade and lunch for the participants, a drum battle will take place at the football field.
