PHOTO OF THE DAY: HUNT FOR BONES
Sisters Nadia (left and in costume) and Italeah Ramieze were among guests searching for skeletons scattered among the artifacts in the Kauffman and Unruh-Tieszen Wings at Heritage Hall Museum & Archives Friday afternoon, Nov. 1. They successfully found all 16, which meant they each got a small toy and some candy from the museum staff. The museum designed the “Bare Bones Skeleton Hunt” as a fun way to explore the museum. And, the museum has announced, the skeletons will remain in their places for the next two weeks so those who were unable to visit on Friday will get the same opportunity. As a special promotion on Friday, the museum accepted donations to the Bethany Food Pantry as an alternative to regular admission. “We appreciate the generosity of people who chose to support this important part of our community while also enjoying a unique visit to our museum,” said Marnette D. (Ortman) Hofer, HHM&A Executive Director and Archivist. The museum is open weekday afternoons from 12 to 4.
