PHOTO OF THE DAY: THE FEELING OF THE SEASON
This was posted by Heritage Hall Museum & Archives Monday morning, along with the following description:
In 1992, Randy Penner painted this magical 1941 Christmas Eve scene which hangs in the entry of the Bethel Church. Adeline Ortman wrote about the joys of Christmases past there, including a memory of how the live tree in the sanctuary would be so tall that the janitor would have to go upstairs to light the top candles from the balcony.
While we don’t have a tree that tall (nor any real candles! ), Bethel is again looking magical as it fills with decorated Christmas trees from area businesses and families.
We’ll be closed Thanksgiving Day, but open again on Friday the 29th from 12-4.
