PHOTO OF THE DAY: HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Three generations of ladies — Patty Carlson, her granddaughter Olivia Smith, and daughter Shelinda Smith — work Thursday morning, Nov. 28 in the kitchen of the Bethany Church in Freeman in preparation for Friendsgiving. This is the fourth year in a row the ladies have prepared and hosted a free Thanksgiving meal in partnership with Modern Woodmen and the Bethany Food Pantry. Between 40 and 50 people are expected to be served between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. either through a sit-down or carry-out meal.
