HANSON TAKES DOWN TRAPPERS IN DOUBLEHEADER
The Scotland/Menno boys hung with Hanson early, but the Beavers controlled the second half en route to a 72-44 win in Alexandria Friday night, Dec. 20. The Trappers trailed just 15-14 after one quarter and 34-30 at the half, but Hanson won the third period 17-10 and then ran away with a 21-4 advantage in the final frame to secure an easy win.
Bryce Sattler, Treytan Bult and Izayah Ulmer each had eight points for S/M while Trent Guthmiller led the way with 11 rebounds. Ulmer also dished out two assists.
The loss dropped the Trappers to 1-2 on this young season while Hanson improved to 3-0.
The Scotland/Menno girls also fell to the Beavers Friday night, losing 38-30. It was the first win of the season for the Hanson girls (1-2) while the Trappers dropped to 2-2.
