TRAPPER GIRLS ADVANCE; FLYERS ELIMINATED

Third-seed Scotland/Menno took down sixth-seed Bon Homme 49-42 in the first round of the Region 5A tournament Tuesday night in Menno while fifth-seed Gayville-Volin came from behind to defeat fourth-seed Freeman 52-50 in Region 4B action in Freeman.

Scotland/Menno will visit second-seed Mount Vermon/Plankinton Thursday night with a trip to the SoDak 16 on the line. That game will begin at 7 p.m. in Plankinton.

Gayville-Volin visits top-seed and No. 1 ranked Centerville.
