The Freeman Flyers celebrate a 62-50 SoDak 16 win over Howard on the Corn Palace court Tuesday night, March 12, which sends them to their first state tournament in 26 years. Freeman’s late season run has included six wins in a row — including an unforgettable victory over Parkston in the Region 4B final last Saturday — and 12 of its last 13. A young Freeman team — five of the Flyers’ first nine and freshmen and sophomores — will battle Viborg-Hurley on the opening night of the State ‘B’ Basketball Tournament in Aberdeen Thursday, March 20.
