PHOTO OF THE DAY: APRIL’S FOOLISH TRICK

Surprise (or maybe not)! The Freeman community and larger region woke to the first day of April, not to the springlike weather that is anticipated around this time of year, but a smattering of wet snow the fell in the early-morning hours of Tuesday. The precipitation was expected, and more may come later today and into tomorrow as a pattern of wet weather moves across portions of the Upper Midwest. While moisture is not expected for Schmeckfest this Friday and Saturday, temperatures won’t exactly be warm, with highs in the 40s and — if we’re lucky — into the 50s.
